Zgodba Mlinotesta se je začela v Jochmannovem mlinu. Slednji je začel delovati leta 1867, bil do leta 1926 v rokah družine Jochmann oziroma njenih dedičev, potem pa so ga večkrat prodali, nazadnje leta 1937 družbi Molino Aidussina Società Anonima
